Transgender and nonbinary Americans let us into their lives
I pitched this participatory photography essay. A project team consisting of myself, two other photo editors and a writer then sent disposable cameras to nine transgender and nonbinary people in the months before the 2024 election. They documented their own lives, showing us everyday moments of struggle and joy, even amid a conservative push to restrict their rights.

Przewalski’s horse: Back from the brink
Using research from select photo agencies and the Prague Zoo, which has been an integral part of the reintroduction of the Przewalski's horse to the wild, I sequenced this photo gallery for CNN's Call to Earth series. Call to Earth focuses its reporting on challenges facing the planet, including the conservation efforts of endangered species. Przewalski's horses are the world's last species of wild horse, native to the steppes of Europe and Asia.
